'Cumbrian Mountain Express' on 8th August
2009. This is thought to be the first time ever that a
'Princess Coronation Class' Pacific has travelled
north on this line.

After servicing 6233 Duchess of Sutherland at Carlisle
in readyness
for the return working to Crewe with the
'Royal Scot' on 30th May 2009, the support crew find
time for a team photo. The headboard has just been
changed with the old one being raffled off on the return
journey (Complete with the dead flies collected on
the outward run!).

After an on time run from Carlisle with 'The Caledonian' on 6th October 2012, and having turned on the Larbert triangle 46233 'Duchess of Sutherland' reverses into Stirling station before collecting the stock from the carriage sidings prior to the return working to Carnforth. Preserved BR class 86 No 86259 'Les Ross' completed the tour back to Wolverhampton.
