Seating Layouts
All seating is in ‘open’ carriages
(i.e. not compartments)

Whilst we will endeavour to accomodate seating requests, we cannot guarantee particular seat numbers at the time of booking
Requests for specific seats
We will try our best to accommodate seating requests but unfortunately they cannot always be guaranteed.
For example, we cannot guarantee which side of the carriage your seats will be on, as sometimes the
carriages are turned around without notice. If you are not happy with your seats on the day the best
thing to do is to ask the Train Manager if there are any others available that you can swap to.
Disabled access
We try as far as possible to accommodate passengers with mobility issues but unfortunately there is limited
disabled access due to the nature of the 1960s carriages we use.
Unfortunately the 1960's built carriages we use cannot accommodate anybody who is permanently in a wheelchair. This is due to the fact that the internal and external doorways are not wide enough for a wheelchair to get
through and the standard ramps that are used on today's trains will not fit the doorways either.
Also, once on the train all seats are arranged around tables and unfortunately there is nowhere for a
wheelchair to be fixed securely for passengers who need to remain in them. Passengers with limited
mobility do travel on our trains, but they need to be able to get out of the wheelchair to actually board
the train and sit in one of the seats - the wheelchair itself can then be stored in the guard's van.
Railway station car parking
