Friends of the Duchess

Membership

All the Trusts efforts cannot come to pass without two essentials, money and help.

Over the years, many requests to assist the Trust have been received from interested individuals. Some prospective supporters wish to help financially and some wish to help practically, and some wish to do both. After much consideration the Trustees formed a Patrons Club. In 2010 all new members become members of 'Friends of the Duchess'.

This offers a unique opportunity to participate in one of the UK's foremost Mainline Locomotive operating groups.

Membership of the 'Friends of the Duchess' will cost a minimum of £10.00 per month. Additional monthly contributions may be made, and would be most welcome and appreciated by the trustees. Any additional contributions will enable the Trust to maintain the 6233 Duchess of Sutherland in main line condition.
Life Patronage is also available at a one-off cost of £1,500.

Membership will be on an individual only basis and is not transferable. Payment by Standing Order only.
The Trustees request that where possible contributions are covenanted, allowing the Trust to claim additional moneys from taxation refunds.

Additionally, all 'Friends of the Duchess' will be welcome to give practical assistance if they so wish. As well as the engineering work, assistance is always welcome with administrative work, museum gallery displays as well as general run of the mill maintenance of the many exhibits and building.

The Trustees wish to make all 'Friends of the Duchess' feel a valuable part in the future of the Trust and its aims. All subscribers will be made most welcome and encouraged to participate in a highly successful and motivated team, enabling full enjoyment of a mutual interest to be attained.
